Major 3D Problem: I-5150 w/ ATi 9000

Here is the situation: Inspiron 5150, P4 3Ghz / 533fsb, 512ram, Ati Radeon Mobility 9000.

Games always worked fine, played Doom 3 like a champ (considering..) but now when I try to play a game (3D) all of the verticies on the screen seem to... "Extrude" from points all over the screen.. Looks like I am looking into a kaleidoscope (sorry about the spelling).

I noticed the CPU temp reaches around 69-celcius while playing, even after employing all the tricks in the book to clean the heat sinks and manage cool air (I even have a special stand which holds the computer up and has extra fans)

My question is, could all of the heat have fried my graphics card?

I thought I had faulty drivers or corrupt files, but after a fresh format w/ the most recent Dell-supplied drivers, the problem persists. I have tried various other drivers (catalyst & Omega), but to no avail.

Is there an upgraded card I can buy? What are my options? Will dell cover this? (this is the 2nd laptop I have had which had problems within 2 months of the warranty expiring, this one was up in September)

Thanks in advance for any advice
