I open my laptop, hit the power button, green light comes on, but screen remains black (no Windows screen). No buttons work. I wait about a minute. Nothing.

I hit power button again, close laptop. Then start procedure all over.

I have to do this about 5-7 times before it finally boots up, then it runs fine.

It doesn't matter if I'm running on a fully charged battery or on power cord.

This has been going on for about 2 weeks now.  No problems the previous 3 months I owned laptop.

 

Any thoughts???
