I have several Dell powerconnect 3548 and 5548 switches deployed on my multi facility network that I am managing from their individual DNS names.  now I have added a voip phone system that runs on my network but to a totally different ip range to a different server.  so I want to split all of my switches into 2 vlans.  The base vlan 1 will still manage the switches and all ports and the voip vlan will have its own set of ports on the second vlan. 

there is no visability between the vlans, just different ip addresses DHCPd from different server,s so if your plugged into vlan 1 you are a PC/Printer/etc. with your own default gateways defined by the domain.  if you are plugged into a vlan 10 you are a phone and you will get your information from a edgemark server someplace else.

so step by step  (if you want to give me the commands even better)  what do I actually need to configure to create a seperate self contained vlan that will seek dhcp from an existing voip device from the network its attached to, while I can still manage the switches from my management ip.  I dont understand all the trunking vocabulary nor do I know if it needs anything else including tagging, because is is all self contained.  I guess I need a dummies guid to vlanning powerconnects.
