I have an Inspiron 17, 7737 with Windows 8.1 x64 installed.  My Intel Wireless-N 7260 absolutely will not keep Bluetooth devices connected.  I can pair them just fine, but then 3-7 seconds after they connect, they disconnect without warning.  At no point are the devices useable in any way.

I've seen many other online forum posts about this exact same issue (they all seem to blame Intel for their really bad wireless drivers), and I have tried everything that they recommended - uninstalling and re-installing drivers, checking the Bluetooth services, making sure all Windows updates are installed, and disabling Power Management.  I also tried using the latest drivers from Dell (17.1.1406.472), and I've tried the latest drivers directly from Intel (17.1.1411.504).  Nothing fixes the problem.  The Bluetooth diagnostics from Dell lack the ability to determine the issue, since all it appears to care about is the device discoverability.

I'm at a complete loss at this point, and infinitely frustrated at the lack of the ability to use any Bluetooth device on my laptop.  FWIW, WiFi works just fine.  It's only the Bluetooth that's messed up.

Does anyone have any suggestions?
