I have an Inspiron 9200 without the built in wireless networking.  I've been trying to get wireless access with both the Nextel IM1100 and Verizon 5220 cards(the 5220 is the one IM currently trying to get working).  The problem is that the card installed fine and I get good signal strength, but whenever I goto connect, the green light on the card goes red and I lose service.  Verizon says its due to the built in 1394 controller.  IM not so sure of that.

 

Does anyone have experience with the cards and or ideas?
