Wireless network questions
Hi,
We have an 1184 True Mobile router set up as a Wireless Access Point. Can the web based software be accessed over the wireless connection by the computer that is using the wireless connection? Or does it have to be hard wired? If it can be accessed, can it be accessed while in WAP mode, when the DHCP is turned off?
I had a hard time getting access to it this morning and tech support was great helping me. But now I can't access it again. But I don't have the wireless computer plugged into it either. So I'm checking.
Another question. Now that the WAP has encryption enabled, and I also put the encryption key into the wireless laptop, they can't communicate with the rest of the network because the router doesn't have WEP capability. When I do get a new router with WEP, will I have to set up WEP in the hard wired computers? I didn't thinks so, but I don't know for sure.
Thanks in advance.
