I bought an Optiplex 990 off of the internet to build a budget gaming PC. Here are the specs:

i5-2500

8gb ram

500w psu

256gb ssd

win 10

 

I bought an MSI GTX 1050ti off ebay and when I turned on the computer I got no output. The post beeps were 1-1-2 (or beep.beep.beebeep) and the outside lights were stuck on 1 and 2.  When I put an older video card in (Radeon 4650) it worked fine. It also boots off of onboard fine as well. Is my motherboard too old for this card or is it possible that the card is just junk?
