Hi,

I have a 5520 (Intel Xeon E3-1505M v6 version) and it now fails to start. I get the following LED error on the front side: 2 amber + 4 white which translates to "memory failure/RAM failure". 

I opened the unit up, disconnected the battery, replaced the RAMs and the M2 SSD with new ones. When i try to start the unit i get the same LED error: 2 amber + 4 white.  

Here are my questions:

1. Is there anything else i can try to get my unit working? 

2. Can i actually replace the motherboard with one for an XPS15?

3. Would Dell technical service venture in to replacing the motherboard with one for 5540?
