Dell Back up and Windows 8.1 issue
I have an Inspiron 15 with Windows 8 from the factory. When I bought it in January 2014 I did a system and data back up to an external hard drive. I recently updated to Windows 8.1 and now the Dell Back Up feature is no longer available to use. The buttons are grayed out. I don't want to upgrade to the Premium pay service that Dell offers. Has anyone experienced this issue? If so, whats the fix?

you can try using this to back up your files.

You have to download and reinstall it. Go Here to choose the version you had. IMO you would be better using the built in Backup in Windows 8.1 called File History. You can make a system image to store on your external hard drive.
