I have a dimension 4300 and was trying to add a 60GB hard drive as a slave to my system.  After jumpering and physically connecting the new hard drive to my system, when I power up the system it starts to go through the boot up process and stops after showing the "IDE master bus enabled" line on the screen.  The hard drive light stays on at this point.  I can disconnect the new drive, hook it up the way it was and it still boots up exactly the same way with the same message.  Any suggestions on how to restore my computer to the way it was or successfully connect the new hard drive to my system would be greatly appreciated.
