have internal cd drive (samsung) and external drive (freecom) cdand dvd . double click my computer and icons there as cd drives letters d and e. close window-reopen window and drives have turned into local disc d and local disc e! also autoplay tab disappeared from drive d . shell hardware on ok rolling back drivers brings back icons but then they disappear again. under device manager devices are both listed under unknown devices not as disc drives. under properties general tab both say device unknown any ideas out there:smileysad:
