Virus win.32.expiro, can't log into windows.
I'm trying to help my brother with his pc. He didn't use his computer in a long time (he didn't have internet). I installed AVG and Spybot on his computer to get him started. The problem: He have a Win.32.Expiro virus, Worm/Vb.cc, Pado bot 2, etc on his machine. The Expiro was in 1568 files.
Avg and Spybot couldn't heal the infected objects so they put them in a vault or deleted it. I restarted his computer. When the windows xp logon page came up, it will not logon the user name. I clicked on his name and password, the page blinks then automatically logs him off. It will not reach the desktop. I typed Ctrl, Alt, Delete Twice to sign in as Administrator, it did the same thing. It does the same thing in safe mode.
How can I get into this computer if I can't get past the windows login screen? I also can't get into safe mode. Thanks.
