What should I use to play AVI files in Vista.Media Player 11.0.6 only sees AVI's as audio files.

I know that the codecs need to be updated, but I'm unsure what software I should use.

I tried to install DIVX 6.5 but got an error message during install. Vista is running great on my

E1705 and I have got it all tweeked out and I don't want to "Hose" it up by installing incompatable

AVI players and incompatable Codecs.

 

Any suggestions?
