Internet Explorer 6.0 SP2

Sorry if this is in the wrong place but I am really frustrated.  Everytime I view a webpage I cannot see images.  I tried turning off my firewall, restarting...none of that helped.  Sometimes when I refresh a page 8 zillion times the images will show up but that is rarely.  I shop online ALOT and it is frustrating to do when I can't see images of what I want to buy.  I looked around on the FAQ's of several places and couldn't find any answers.  Anyone know how to fix this?  Please help me!  Thanks in advance!

You might try going into IE Tools/Internet Options select the Advanced Tab, then hit "restore defaults"... then re-tweek any changes YOU made in there on purpose, if any...

Yeah I did that and also ran adaware/spyware and nothing seems to be fixing this problem.

I guess I'd try and repair IE, but you need the XP CD to try this method:

Here's a link, just one of many...

    Good luck,

I'm curious. Can you display Thumbnails in folders by using Windows Explorer?

This issue is trying to ring a bell.....

It has been a problem ever since I got this new laptop from Dell. I have been on the phone with them a few times for hours and still can't get it fixed. I don't have the patience to be on the phone with them that long and I also don't have that many cell phone minutes. I downloaded Netscape 8.1 with the hopes of fixing things temporarily. I guess it has to be another problem because I can't view most images with Netscape either. It just doesn't make sense because I have no problem viewing them on my desktop. Computers are way too frustrating.

How about installing FireFox. That will get you going while trying to solve your problem.

The real question is: what did you install, or uninstall that may have caused the problem?

Or you may have contracted some sort of malware.

You probably already saw this Microsoft support note - might give you some ideas.

    (Good point there ccasey!)
How about right clicking on the "not loaded" images and see what kind of message you are getting.
