Servicepack question?

What exactly is sp1?

I know its an update for vista, but what does it update?  Drivers of somekind is what i was thinking. Just wondering if anyone could shed some light on this for me or point me in the right direction.

I kinda feel dumb because i dont know the answer to this and it seems like it would be common knowledge.

no need to feel dumb.... the only wrong Q is the one that is not asked.

SP1 is a culmination of updates and improvements over the first year of the software.

M$ (Microsoft) did SP1 and SP2 with Windows XP and soon there will be a SP3 for XP.

Basically they patch up flaws and make improvements.

When I updated Vista to SP1 I noticed faster copying and moving of files, and faster reboots/starts and even faster shutdowns.... basically what you would call an improvement.

Make sure to use Windows Update (Just click the start button and type "Windows Update") to keep your software up to date.

    Peace
