Windows Media Player 9 - vs - Windows Media Player for XP - The Difference?
My old XP, I downloaded WMP 9, and enjoyed color changing, and when you minimize, it becomes a mini-player that sits on the taskbar. Here's the link what I'm talking talking about.
Just recently I got a Dell computer... and Windows Media Player for XP is installed. I updated the player by going to Tools -> Update and after updating and installing, I went back to Tools -> Update and it said that I am using the latest version WMP 9. However when I click under Help -> About Windows Media Player, it said that the version I'm using is 8.0. I've restarted and reboot the computer as well as restarting WMP and the version is still at 8.0
The reason I'm posting is that I want to have mini-player on the taskbar... how do I do that? I've followed the link exactly by right-click on Windows taskbar, select Toolbar, select Windows Media Player - There's no option. I can't even change the color of my WMP?
I want to know which version is the latest? XP or 9 Series.
This dialog pops up when I click on Update on my new XP because I want that mini-player.
new XP
Help is appreciated. Thanks in advance.
