Overnight battery drain

On my XPS 15 7590 I find that the battery will be completely drained overnight when left in sleep mode.

All i do is select sleep from the start menu and leave it. But when i switch on in the morning it will boot from the hibernate that it took at about 5% battery left.

The power is switched off at the mains. But otherwise just sat on a desk.

It is also connected to a Dell USB-C Dock.

This seems excessive even for "Modern" sleep.

See my response in this thread: https://www.dell.com/community/XPS/XPS-15-9550-auto-wake-from-sleep/m-p/7569058

If the dock has an ethernet connection, you would need to check if its adapter has "Wake on LAN" enabled.

    Hi JohnD,

    Thanks for the reply.

The dock doesn't have any ethernet cable connected to it, and the WiFi has the wake on LAN disabled. Not that this matters too much as currently i am at home and there is nothing on the LAN that would generate a WOL packet.

    Thanks,

    Richard
