Short story: I had a R11 with RTX 3090 that crashed consistently within 1 year of use. The replacement card immediately displayed other defects within 2 days of receiving it. Are Dell RTX 3090 cards inconsistent/suffer from a high failure rate?

I have a R11 for the last 12 months. About 6 months in, the computer started crashing to a black screen periodically (about once a week, even under light web browsing load) that requires a power reset (if it doesn't reboot automatically). A few months after that, the crashes got more frequent and corrupted windows resulting in loss of data. During gaming, graphically glitches have also started showing up as flashing black squares in regions of the screen (although infrequently and mostly transiently).

Tried troubleshooting the following:

- Windows reinstall/fresh bios/drivers updated

- Reseating GPU

I contacted Dell and sent it in to repair depot where they replaced the RTX 3090, but the replacement had a fan that make clicking sounds and also 2 days later, would lock and crash during gaming or when tested with Uniengine superposition benchmark (Could not complete a single game or benchmark without color glitches in huge areas of the screen before immediately crashing and resetting). 

This is a computer used for Adobe/bioinformatics/gaming mix and not overclocked to maximize stability, The experience with the machine has been anything but stable. I was wondering if anyone else encountered similar problems and come across any solutions. My bad experiences with the original and now a replacement card makes me question if this is a recurrent problem amongst Dell RTX 3090 cards.
