Right touchpad button does not trigger context menus in windows 10
Hi All, just received an Inspiron 15 5000 series model 5567 with TouchScreen and Windows 10 pro. I have found that when the right button on the touchpad is used no context menu is displayed regardless of what application or desktop is active. The driver installed is a generic PS2 driver and not the synaptics driver I am use to seeing with Dell. It only allows definition of what button is the primary button. You cannot change anything such as what button does what or the touch areas or sensitivity.
But as I say my biggest concern is that the context menus will not display with the right touchpad button. The right button behaves the same as the left button on the touchpad.
This is a brand new dell and out of the box the touchpad functionality is questionable. Does anyone have a solution for this? Is a synaptics driver/software missing?
All help gratefully accepted.

Update,,,after changing the primary button on the mouse setting to the right side and shutting down, restarting into the system setup (F2), reviewing but not changing, then continuing on to load windows, I found that the left button now displayed context menus. On finding that I switch the primary button to the left and now the right menu displayed the context menu! Restarted several times and the right button is still displaying the context button so a win, I think? Not a good start to my first introduction to Windows 10. Now offf to see why the start menu has vanished on desktop mode.

Windows 10 adds now has a built-in framework and customization interface for multi-touch touchpads and touchscreen, so the vendors of those products (not necessarily Dell, but rather Synaptics for example) are increasingly choosing to skip developing their own drivers and settings applications in favor of just supporting what Windows offers -- which in turn leads to a more consistent experience for users, albeit with potentially fewer customization options. But you'll typically find quite a few options available under the Gestures section, which I believe may be hidden under the "Additional options" link. I can't remember for sure and I don't have a system in front of me right now that "defers" to Windows for all customization, unfortunately.

In addition to the above, while you can enable right-click as you found (and that should stay enabled -- not sure what happened there), the default gesture for right-clicking in Windows 10 with a touchpad using the native settings is to hold one finger on the touchpad and then click/tap with another one while that first finger is still held down. Just fyi.
