I currently have 2x256mb CL3 and 2x512mb CL3 DELL memory in my system.  With the upgrade of Vista I needed a little more.  I purchased 2x1gb CL3 Ultra Memory and removed the 2x256mb Dell memory to make space.

 

After a few hours the system froze, screen on, USB power lost, keyboard lost.  I rebooted and it happened several times, usually within 1-8 hours.  The Diagnostic Lights show A=GREEN, B=ORANGE, C=GREEN, D=GREEN.  I can not find the senario where only the B light is ORANGE.

 

I brought the memory back and they tested it and it was fine.  They suggested I try it by itself.  I have been running for quite some time now without issue on just the Ultra Memory.

 

So, I can throw out the old memory and just purchase another 2x1gb, however I am a little reluctant as I have concerns that this may be a power issue and not a memory issue.

 

Any comments or suggestions on this would be very helpful.
