Drive Letter Problem
Hello and thanks for your interest,
I am about to purchase an additional Dell HDD for my 4100 Dimension with WinMe OS and have discovered that if I install this additional HDD it will change the now D-drive (a cd-rom) and the now E-drive (a cd-rw) to different drive letters and inso disrupting the applications that are related to these files as well as who-knows-what. . . this is most discouraging since I was told that Dell should have (no blame intended, rather a suggestion))labeled these drives much further down the alphabet so as to avoid this type of conflict. Please!, what.possibilities are open to me to avoid my unhinging my happily-working-system.Yes,I want my HDD (cake) and eat it too (not have to change all my related applications. . . not to mention the formidable REGISTRY) Help! I'm lost in a alphabet soup. Cheers,
