Major Problem With GeForce600GT 128MB.

I put it in, installed the newest driver, haven't updated the BIOS. (I don't know how)

Well, it started off by saying it wasn't getting enough power, so to my knowledge when I opened the case back up, I didn't have it connected to the power supply. Well, after connecting it to the power supply, I started my computer and began running my recently installed Half Life 2.

Well, whilst it was loading, it immediatly gave me some type of error message in the form of a pop up (It happened so fast I couldn't read it) Then it went though the whole shut down process. I wasn't able to start it for the next hour. It just beeped at me and shut it self down within 2 seconds of pressing the power button.

I was wondering what caused this problem and how do I fix it. I'm afraid to reconnect it to the power supply because right after I did this last time, that's when all the problems occurred. Do I need to search for an updated BIOS? Did I somehow use the wrong power supply cord to attach it to the card?

Any help will be GREATLY appreciated. Also, Merry Christmas

BTW, if it's any help, it's an AGP card.
