I used to use all my previous DELL machines for development (I'm a programmer) and testing with any MS operating systems by restoring Ghost image with any OS I created before.

On my new DELL 9200 machine I cannot install anything but Vista.

By reading this forum I realized that it's due to RAID on my machine. I do not have a second drive, so why do I need that RAID?

My question: If I switch to none RAID configuraion, am I going to lose anything, like perform or anything else?

I already tried to do that and having no RAID I was able to install XP. With RAID I used to get a blue screen during XP installation.
