D610 + D/DOCK w extra PCI Video Card = Problem: Help?

All,

I just recently got refreshed with a new laptop at work.  I was previously running with a D800 that at work would be docked in a D/DOCK docking station.  The docking station has a PCI video card (ATI Radeon 7000).  This would allow me to use 2 external monitors + the laptop display for a total of 3 displays.  Everything worked great.

Now that I have the D610, I am having major issues.  If I enable the multi- monitor support in the BIOS and have it docked to the same docking station, Windows XP will "lock up" starting.  I see the windows logo while it is booting but the screen eventually goes blank and it seems to freeze.  It does this at the point that I would expect to see the CTRL+ALT+DEL login screen.

If I remove the extra video card from the docking station (remember it works with old laptop), it will boot, but I am left with only 2 displays.  One being the 1024x768 max resolution laptop screen.

If I configure the bios for non-multi monitor support and have the pci card in, it boots up fine.  However, I am left again with only a total of 2 displays.  They are both in the resolution I need (1280x1024) but I have lost my 3rd display.

It was bad enough that I had to drop from1280x1024 to 1024x768 on my laptop lcd in my 3 display configuration, but only having 2 working total displays really stinks.

I have done the following to troubleshoot:
1) verify I have the latest bios
2) verify I have the latest ATI drivers for the extra pci card
3) verify I have the latest Intel 915G driver from Dell's website (and tried a newer one from windows update) for the internal display adapter.

If anyone has some suggestion on what I can do, I would GREATLY appreciate it.

TIA,
Stephen
