Inspiron 6000 Standby Issues
Hello, I read through the other threads concerning standby problems on new 6000 systems, but none of them ended if a concise unviversal (and permanent) fix. So I am starting this thread as a stab in the dark, hoping that a solution has arisen almost 5 months after the original post stating this problem.
I have the same problem as most people in the relevant threads. My computer is less than a week old and had problems with standby before I even touched anything. It goes into standby, but when I try to recall it, the system turns on (green power light comes on) and I can hear the fan, but the monitor remains off, and you never hear the system boot. Caps lock doesnt work as the keyboard is completely unresponsive.
I assume this is the result of some flaky program or setting that does not shut down/start up properly, and freezes the comp coming out of standby. I would appreciate all constructive responses as to why this may happen and a real solution to this problem (Not unplugging my mouse).
Also I would like to know the responses people have gotten from Dell, and why I didnt see a moderator addressing these issues in the previous threads.
Thank you in advance for any help in the matter.
