When my Inspiron is plugged into the power source the battery light flashes between orange, green and no light at all. The connection between the plug and laptop can be adjusted so that the battery light remains green but sometimes finding the 'perfect spot' is impossible. The laptop is extremely hot and the adapter is also very hot. The light is green on the power supply. I've checked the battery recall list and my battery is not on it. I don't know if the battery is getting adequately charged or if there is a connection problem between the cord and the laptop or there is a problem with the power adapter. Please help.
