Hello all, I just got an Inspiron 3520 w/ Windows 8.

I've gone through various guides and techniques to disable adaptive brightness (you know, that annoying feature that dims or brightens your screen depending on your environment), but every few days it still comes back! It's driving me nuts... to the point where I want to return my laptop.

I've disabled it in Services.msc, I've disabled it in the Intel Graphics & Media and I've disabled it in my power settings. I don't know what else to do. There has to be something to permanently disable it. I don't know why it turns back on despite all the options/settings being set to off or disabled. I've heard of people simply disconnecting their cam/sensor.

Any help would be appreciated, this needs to STOP
