Nvidia GeForce4 Go drivers won't load!!!
I put a GeForce4 Go 64mb in my C800.
I downloaded the drivers for the GeForce4 from the Dell website.
When I try installing them, SUPPOSEDLY, they install...! Yet when I reboot, my system shows naught but a standard VGA adaptor.
When I try to use the "have disk" to load the driver manually, and browse to the .inf file for that driver, I'm confronted with a "MODELS" box - BUT NO MODELS IN IT!!! So - I just have to exit.
I tried going to the nvidia site - but the only drivers for "GeForce4 series" said "no drivers match your hardware".
What the heck????/
I've never had so much trouble loading a driver when SUPPOSEDLY I have one for the model in question!
Why won't they load, either from the DELL site or the NVIDIA site?
PLEASE HELP!!!
