Is it possible, using the 6224 and 2x CX-4 plug-in's, to run my servers, workstations and printers in a mixed speed environment?  In other words, could I install this switch, add a 10GbE NIC to each of the four servers and have them communicate with each other at 10GbE, while still being able to communicate with workstations and other devices at the slower network speeds.  In my perfect world I could do the following :

 

4 servers - 10GbE with Jumbo Frames

 

1 server - 1000Base-T with Jumbo Frames

 

Multiple workstations - 1000Base-T with Jumbo Frames

 

Multiple workstations - 1000Base-T no Jumbo Frames

 

Printers and older workstations 100Base-T no Jumbo Frames

 

Firewall - 100Base-T no Jumbo Frames

 

Can a Layer3 switch route this kind of traffic ???
