Applying solution esg103228 did help in our environment completely.
1. Shut down the Usercache services on the front end server. 2. Stop the EMCRetriever application pool in IIS. 3. Create a new reg key under "HKLM\Software\EMC\EmailXtender\" called "xtenderservers". 4. Create a string value called "server1" and the value should be the xtender server. If there are multiple xtender servers, add additional string values named "server2", "server3", etc. 5. Restart the application pool. 6. Restart the Usercache services.
