VMAX create new device copying existing device
Hey guys,
Does anyone have a command example of this?
How to copy an existing device in Vmax 5875
Solutions enabler document says:
You can configure available disk space into a set of new devices by copying the
attributes of an existing device.
To configure available disk space, use the following form:
Configuring a device by copying a similar device:
configure [ [MB | GB] | devices]
copying dev
[mapping to dir :
[masking hba [awwn= | wwn= |
iscsi= |
aiscsi= ]
[host_lun= |
dynamic_lun]]]
[overriding
[size= [MB | GB | CYL]]
[emulation= ]
[config= ]
[data_member_count= ]
[mvs_ssid= ]
[disk_group= | name: ]];
Has anyone tried this or has a working example?
I run symconfigure -sid xxxx -f copy.txt
Complains about syntax error in the file
Thanks
