XPS Gen 5 Windows XP Pro Pentium D 840 EE 2 Gig DDR2 667 Mhz 256 MB Nvidia Ge Force 6800 1 250 GB HDD 1 Dell 2001 FP MonitorMy curiosity got the best of me and now I am really confused!!! Is there a proper file association for  the file ext  ."dat"... At the present time if I want to open up the Index.dat file a window pops up indicating it cannot open the file... When I choose Notepad, I cannot read it anyway, so is there a proper file association for this extension .. How about the correct  Icon???? At the present time a do NOT have a file type ".dat"... Any Advice would be very much appreciated......
