finally gotten around to trying to fix a problem i have - i've a genuine version of xp home edition which I want to put back onto my dell computer ... however, i'm running into problems trying to install it over an existing pirated version of xp professional a friend install 2 years back (i know ... why so long)

however when i boot to the CD and try installing it ... starts talking about not wanting to install 2 different operating systems ... doesn't recommend ... so how do i get rid of the other installation of windows XP?

what can i do to get my genuine version of xp home back on my computer ... do i need to go to the dos prompt and format /s ... and then boot from the CD and install then ... i need help ... anyone please! let me know ... thanks, blair
