Two days ago I accidentally spilled some water on my XPS 13 7390, which is just over a year old. Since it is out of warranty, I took it to a 3rd party repair shop, who said that the damage was only to the screen. However, they said that the whole upper half of the laptop would need to be replaced, and that assembly is not available for purchase from Dell. I contacted the Dell customer support center, who also said that nether the exact part nor any compatible replacements were not in stock. It seems like my last option is to send in my laptop for a diagnosis at the Dell repair center. However, wouldn't they also not be able to procure the necessary parts, and run into the same problem? I just want to avoid shipping in my laptop and spending $60 to find out that I still have the same issue.
