I am pretty new to EMC and iSCSI.

All I did before was to use a HP MSA1500 with FC.

We now have a NS480 (Celerra) as main storage and a CX240 as backup storage.

both are running the .29 software, navisphere - not unisphere yet.

All cabling/config/zoning with FC and the servers is fine, no problems there.

BUT:

Now I need to connect the NS480 to a copper gigabit Switch (Juniper EX4200) in order to make it available for some servers via iSCSI connections.

Normally our supplier would do the setup, but he is out of staff and I'd like to avoid waiting 2 weeks for a tekkie to assist me.

The switch should connect 4 Windows 2008 servers to the storage and is exclusively meant for iSCSI only.

We use a own network (private IPs, V4) and do not want to use iSNS.

The Servers have only the onboard NICs no special iSCSI HBAs (at least for the start - maybe change that later on)

I found and read many documents about getting started with iSCSI - but  all of them only cover the config on storage/server side - while I  struggle with the cabling.

There are Ethernetports on the storage processors A and B as well as on the 2 blades.

Which ports do I have to connect to the switch?
