I received a call from 512-513-0600 claiming to be named "Grant" who was calling from Dell Technologies. I did not answer the call, but they left me this voicemail talking about my previous purchase (which I made a few weeks ago) and it seemed a bit suspicious. I was just wondering if this was affiliated with Dell or if this was a scam caller. Thank you!
Hi, Thank you for writing to Dell. This does not look like one of our number. However, I can check this for you. Will you be able to share the order number, registered owners name and email ID to verify if any out going calls were logged on your record.
Hi fiofabs, that is a legitimate Dell phone number in our Small Business division. Sales representatives have direct lines, and this is one of them. The lines often start with (512) 513- and the caller ID will indeed show as Dell Inc. If they had your contact, that means they referenced your account/prior orders. You most likely marked an order as "For Business" while ordering on the Dell website alongside the business' name.
