Please share the system model and Operating system installed.
The Code 10 error code is generated for 'Incompatible, outdated, or corrupted device drivers'. Additionally, this error may occur when one of the drivers that the device needs does not start. You may also refer to the link: http://bit.ly/10C8bod that has complete description on error code 10. You may also take a look at the thread: http://bit.ly/10C9PGD where people had similar issue and they get got it resolved by changing the sound settings.
If the issue still persists, you can paste the screenshot of 'Device Manager'. You can also check for the hardware id for which driver needs to be re-installed. You can right click on device with yellow exclamation and click on 'Properties'. Then select 'Details' tab. Select Hardware ID by expanding the Device description Drop down menu. Below is the image which shows how you will find the hardware ID:
Hello Chinmay... It said the driver could not start or load...I tried a restart...didnt help..Microsoft fix it center could not fix it either so I just uninstalled the driver thinking to re-install it... but now I cant find it... Im guessing it is software so thats why it doesnt show in hardware changes scan either. I cant click it now because its gone...lol... the driver was ( ADS Instant HDTV PCI ) version 6.0.6000.16420.. dont know why this sudden problem with this driver because I havent added or changed any hardware... unless it just got corrupted somehow... the driver was in the drop down menu I have open in the screen shot. I have Vista home basic.. please let me know if you need anymore info.... Thanks so much for your help & reply !
Hello.. thanks for reply... I dont have a tuner card installed...I was to understand this ADS Instant HDTV PCI was part of a chipset the was installed on the PC. I got 7 other reply's all referring me to the fix it center but as I stated above I had already tried that & it said it could not repair. All I need to do I think is re-install the driver but I cant find it now. Anyway... thanks so much for your reply.

Code 10 means there is a resource conflict and or IRQ conflict. This is not a Dell Product.
Device Manager displays the following message in the Device Properties dialog box, on the General tab, in the Device Status text box:
This device cannot start. (Code 10)
The device failed to start.
Try any of the following to resolve the problem:
This is a particularly common Issue.
Searching on the internet there are thousands of this specific issue with this specific card with NO resolution going back as far as 2009.
