We have a single PS6500 at firmware 6.0.5. Starting 3 days ago, Grp Mgr freezes when I click on the member icon. I've been able to go into everything else in the GUI with no problem. I've had the firmware installed for about a month, so I don' t think that's the problem. Has anyone else seen this?
2nd issue - we have vmware hosts connected to this EQ through private switches. The vmware hosts have separate vswitches for vmotion and windows iscsi volumes. Vmotion is on 10.2.0 subnet and the iscsi volumes are on 10.2.1 subnet. The EQ is on 10.2.0 with a 255.255.0.0 mask. The switches are set with separate vlans for vmotion and iscsi. Up to now in Grp Mgr, I've allowed access on each volume from 10.2.*.*. I've started to try to change it so that the vm volumes only allow connections from 10.2.0.* (vmotion subnet) and the windows volumes only allow connections from 10.2.1.*. At this time, I'm not using chap or iscsi initiator to limit. Here's an example for a windows volume.
But here's what I'm getting in the Connections tab for that volume, even after rescanning the host storage adapters:
So either I completely misunderstand the Limit By IP setting, or my EQ has a problem. Shouldn't I only have the 10.2.1 connections to that volume?
Any ideas? Thanks.
None of the fixes listed in the 6.0.6 release notes apply to my EQ,
