My Inspiron laptop periodically drops its Wifi internet connection when other devices in the same location do not. I usually can regain it by shutting down and rebooting. Sometimes I have to reboot the modem.

Is there a wireless adapter or something internal that may be the cause and, if so, what can be done to correct it?
