I've been having an issue with my laptop shutting off on the dell logo screen. It requires a restart or two for it to finally start working. The bios reports that it was a ASF2 force off event. I've tried booting without a battery and installed a new bios battery. Also I tried installing a new bios but I'm stuck on A10. When I go to update through windows, BIOS update utility, dos, or the bios flash update it works until it goes to restart. When it restarts it boots up like normal and the bios remains at the same version. I've tried different bios update versions and virtualization and vt for direct I/O is turned off. Would there happen to be anything else that I could try?
