I recently bought an E6530 laptop which had installed WIN10 but no activated. I have read that I can maybe activate windows 10 with the key for WIN 7 pro attached in the battery case. Is it true?
I have checked it again in the SYSTEM CINFIGURATION of Dell support. It says? 2nd gen Intel Core i3-2350M Processor , 2.30 Mhz, 3 MB.
I bought this laptop from Germany as not working properly but after changing the HD with a known good one and updating BIOS it operates perfectly. It seems that was not used, is as new condition and I will install a greek/english keyboard and 4 more GB of ram. I paid 90 euros incl. shipping.

Welcome to the Dell Community @gehageh
Yes you can.
A W7 Pro COA will activate W10 Pro.
A W7 Home COA will activate W10 Home.
That will end when W11 is officially released.
Best regards,
