I did some research and the Dell Latitude that I have has a PGA478 processor slot so from looking online I can put in the following CPU processors into that slot as a possible upgrade....

Intel T9900 - 3.06GHz 6MB Cache 2 core
Intel P9700 - 2.8GHz 6MB cache 2 core
Intel Q9000 - 2GHz 6MB cache 4 core
Intel Q9100 - 2.26Ghz 12MB cache 4 core

I know these processors are discontinued but they will fit on the PGA478 slot.

Now I read that the laptop can only support the T9900 and the P9700 processor, but does the Dell BIOS support
the Intel Core 2 Quad processor line?
