What is clock speed and how does it affect the computers performance. (mine is 2.5gHz)
By the way how much would vista slow down my system?
Core 2 Duo T9300, 4 gig ram, Vista ultimate,

The answer to the first question isn't easy - it depends on the CPU type and what you run.
Vista takes about 20% of the performance you'd get with XP (i.e., you get about 80% of what you would running the same system with XP).
