Hi,

I have a problem with a Del Vostro 1000 laptop, which is out of warranty.

When I power on the computer the num lock, caps lock and scroll lock lights start flashing. The bios screen appears and the computer boots into the PSA build 4004 it then runs tests and passes all of them. If I run the extended tests it passes them also. If I press the F12 key to enter the one time boot menu, I can then boot into Windows 7 normally and the computer works as it should.

Apart from the three keyboard lights flashing the computer works as it should!

I've the latest bios installed 2.6.3 A06 which I have reflashed just in case, I have also removed both the main battery and the CMOS battery to no effect. I'm stumped!

I'm wondering if anyone has suggestions?
