I have a 3 day old Inspiron 9100. A few strange things...

 

Doom 3 keeps freezing so I have to power off and on the laptop. ( Latest drivers, game patch etc etc).

Inserted a data DVD and that locked up the laptop (burnt by a colleague on another Dell M60)

The wireless card didnt work then I found out I should install the 1350 drivers EVEN THOUGH its a 1300 card. Works OK now.

I have reformatted and clean installed my own copy of XP Pro as I thought that might be the prob but no change.

 

I use Alcohol 120% and that locked up the machine when I tried to mount an image - finally it worked.

 

I am not really that impressed as I was expecting a stable, robust machine. Did a lot of research as well before buying.

 

So Mr Dell Support man... what do you have to say ??? Any ideas ?
