Latitude E5520 Bluetooth problem

Hi Guys.

This has got me a bit stumped, have been trying to get the Bluetooth working on this machine for a couple of days now. E5520 i3 2.2 6gb ram 250gb hdd

The problem is this, the machine will pair a Bluetooth device, takes quite a long time, the pair codes appear on both devices an all seems well, that is until you try to send any type of file over Bluetooth.Either from the pc to say an Android phone or visa versa nothing happens it just says it cannot connect and the send fails.

Have now tried various Bluetooth drivers and at least 3 or 4 Toshiba Bluetooth stacks and even Bluesoliel Most of which will not install because they cannot see the hardware and just asks you to "plug in the Bluetooth device" when it comes to installing the driver. Have managed to get one Toshiba stack to install (9.10.11), but when you open up the program it asks you to turn on the device, it just will not turn on.

Have the latest Dell 375 driver in at present, again everything is fine on the control panel and devices will pair but it just will not send anything over the connection.

Any ideas, I am almost starting to think this is a hardware problem.

Cheers

Did this just started happening out of the blue?

I wish people would provide a complete history of what they did before something "broke".

Sorry, have only recently had a need for a Bluetooth connection, so it was the first time I had tried to use it, had paired devices before but not actually attempted A file transfer as I thought if a device paired ok it would work.

Forgot to mention running Windows 7 Pro 64bit

I am not sure why you think that sending files over Bluetooth was standard practice.  www.dummies.com/.../how-to-use-bluetooth-to-transfer-files-between-a-c.html

Well,  I have no problems using Bluetooth for sending files to and from my android devices to my desktop pcs (Windows 7 pro) It is just irritating me that I cannot get it to work on this laptop, also would like to run Bluetooth headphones with the laptop, they have the same problem, pair no probs, just will not work.
