My Dell Inspiron 9400 gets a blue screen at random often in startup - or when using it for a while, no apparent pattern. Have run the diagnostic both Dell's own and MEMtest86 but with no bad results. I have even after Dell's recomendation tried to run the laptop with only one rammodule at the time but with no result. Anybody got any idea of what can be wrong??


I have run the Blue Screen test, but can not get any errors. I have also run the long test, but still no errors. Could it be some software error? I run Windows Vista Home Premium. The error only comes after 10 - 20 weeks after reinsstalling the OS. I have resently reinstalled the OS and can therefore not check the error in windows.
