I have an Inspiron 600m, which for the past 16 months or so has been working beautifully. All of a sudden, I've been having this recurring problem that has been driving me crazy. For whatever reason, the screen just goes black. There's rarely a warning, it just happens out of nowhere. Sometimes I can put the computer in standby, and then wake it up and retain my picture, but then it will just go black again. I wish there were a pattern to this so I could diagnose the problem better, but it is basically a completely random occurrence. Sometimes, if I tilt the screen a little I can vaguely see the picture a little, but for the most part it goes completely black and there is no way to save it. Why would this happen all of a sudden and what can I do about it? I'm going to really need my computer in the next few days, so I'm hoping this isn't too serious.
