Webcam not in device manager or bios
My factory webcam stopped working. I have downloaded and installed a variety of drivers. I still get the message in the Dell webcam manager, "no supported camera detected." It doesn't show up in Device Manager at all. I entered BIOS to see if it was disabled. It's not there either.
I concluded the actual camera had failed and installed a new one under the monitor. Same results. The only part I have not replaced is the cable from the camera to the board under the keyboard.
I appreciate any thoughts. To my knowledge I did not change any configurations when the camera ceased functioning. Is it possible a Vista update overwrote something, or does the fact it doesn't appear in BIOS mean that the cables are faulty?
Thanks.
