Really need your help so much about this.

My system is Dell Dimension 8300, P4 3.06GH, 512MB memory, 128MB video card, cable broadband from ntl ...

I'm not a techy, so please instruct me in simple English.

I wish to set up a wireless network,  I tried firstly with Belkin cable router, it does not received the connection, then tried a Cable&Wireless router, still do not know how to make it work, (connect the router to PC with the cable provided, connect the router to the phone line with the ADSL cable, then plug in the main, still does not work. Did everything as shown by the manual, do not understand why.

Will you help ?
